Bio
Juliana Swenson is the founder of Studio Lápis. After spending seven years in advertising, marketing and magazine
publishing, she ventured out on her own in 2006 – building a successful design studio on a foundation of creativity and client
service.
Juliana has a passion for learning, gathering inspiration and information from
her surroundings and always considering how news, fashion, culture and world
events shape and influence design. This gives her the ability to generate
designs that are visually versatile and consistently relevant.
In addition to being artistic, Juliana is strategic. She seeks input from her
clients, adopts their goals as her own and solicits their feedback throughout
the project to ensure objectives will be met. Her straightforward approach
makes the seemingly abstract creative process easier, more efficient and even
fun for all involved.
The Studio
Studio Lápis is based in cyberspace. All team members – writers, photographers, illustrators and designers – telecommute. While collaboration between team members and clients most often
occurs online or via telephone, face-to-face meetings in coffee shops and
conference rooms also fit into the mix depending on client preferences. As the
studio principal, Juliana is always the main point of contact, streamlining
communications effectively for clients and team members alike.
